We try our best to work with our clients to help them avoid problems. We want to help you look ahead, consider your options and avoid pitfalls.
Why? Easy – we’ve seen too many times where a missed detail can lead to big problems.
One recent example is related to a fire in a Townhouse. The owner didn’t have homeowner’s insurance because he wasn’t required by his mortgage lender to get any.
Unfortunately, he had a fire in his kitchen. The HOA – understandably – required him to fix his kitchen.
Repairs weren’t covered by the homeowner’s association and, since he didn’t have coverage of his own, he got stuck paying the bill on his own. That’s a $20,000 project that will come right out of his pocket.
What would coverage have cost him? A few hundred dollars a year.
